In addition, due to the high carrier transfer rate of the obtained composite films, they possess enhanced photocurrent generation performance than pure BPNS-PEI and pure dye films. The current work demonstrates an effective method for preparing the ordered self-assembled BP-based composite LB films with good SERS and photoelectric conversion performance.Therapeutic efficiency and toxicity are two of the three critical factors in molecular therapy and pharmaceutical drug development. Specific tumor targeting and rapid renal excretion contribute to improving efficiency and reducing toxicity. We recently found that RNA nanoparticles display rubber-like properties, enabling them to deliver therapeutics to cancer with high efficiency. Off-target RNA nanoparticles were rapidly cleared by renal excretion, resulting in nontoxicity. However, previous biodistribution studies relied mainly on fluorescent markers, which can cause interference from fluorophore quenching and autofluorescence. Thus, the quantification of biodistribution requires further scrutiny. In this study, radionuclide [3H] markers were used for quantitative pharmacokinetic (PK) studies to elucidate the favorable PK profile of RNA nanoparticles. Approximately 5% of [3H]-RNA nanoparticles accumulated in tumors, in contrast to the 0.7% tumor accumulation reported in the literature for other kinds of nanoparticles. The amount of [3H]-RNA nanoparticles accumulated in tumors was higher than that in the liver, heart, lung, spleen, and brain throughout the entire process after IV injection. [3H]-RNA nanoparticles rapidly reached the tumor vasculature within 30 min and remained in tumors for more than 2 days. Nontargeting [3H]-RNA nanoparticles were found in the urine 30 min after IV injection without degradation and processing, and more than 55% of the IV-injected radiolabeled RNA nanoparticles were cleared from the body within 12 h, while the other 45% includes the radiative counts that cannot be recovered due to whole-body distribution and blood dilution after intravenous injection. The high specificity of tumor targeting, fast renal excretion, and low organ accumulation illustrate the high therapeutic potential of RNA nanoparticles in cancer treatment as efficient cancer-targeting carriers with low toxicity and side effects.Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have appeared to be promising competitive candidates as crystalline porous materials for proton conduction. Explorations of the method of preparation of proton conductive MOFs and the proton transfer mechanism have enabled them to attract widespread attention, and tremendous efforts have been made to improve the proton conductivity of MOFs. On the basis of our previous work, we explicitly propose that ligand exchange can upgrade the proton conduction performance of MOFs. Using MOF-azo as the precursor, the proton conductivities of exchange products MOF-bpy and MOF-bpe increase by 3.5- and 2.8-fold, respectively. After the MOFs had been doped into the Nafion matrix to prepare composite membranes, the proton conduction performance of composite membranes filled with subproducts (2.6 × 10-2 and 1.95 × 10-2 S cm-1) is significantly better than that of a composite membrane filled with a parent product (1.12 × 10-2 S cm-1) under ambient conditions (without heating or humidifying). The ligand exchange strategy presented herein demonstrates great promise for the development of high-proton conductivity MOFs and MOF composites with expanded future applications.Electron transfer with changing occupation in the 4f subshell poses a considerable challenge for quantitative predictions in quantum chemistry. Tiplaxtinin Using the example of cerium oxide, we identify the main deficiencies of common parameter-dependent one-electron approaches, such as density functional theory (DFT) with a Hubbard correction, or hybrid functionals. As a response, we present the first benchmark of ab initio many-electron theory for electron transfer energies and lattice parameters under periodic boundary conditions. We show that the direct random phase approximation clearly outperforms all DFT variations. From this foundation, we, then, systematically improve even further. Periodic second-order Møller-Plesset perturbation theory meanwhile manages to recover standard hybrid functional values. Using these approaches to eliminate parameter bias allows for highly accurate benchmarks of strongly correlated materials, the reliable assessment of various density functionals, and functional fitting via machine-learning.Dissolution of uranium oxide was carried out using a solution of HD2EHP in C8mim·NTf2, which was apparently facilitated by the in situ generation of water during the complex formation reaction. The dissolved complex in the ionic liquid phase led to splitting of the latter into a light phase and a heavy phase where the former contained predominantly the UO2(HL2)2 complex (HL = HD2EHP), while the latter contained the ionic liquid as supported by FTIR and UV-Visible spectral analyses. The complexation of the uranyl ion was suggested to take place in the equatorial plane where two dimeric units of the H-bonded HD2EHP molecules took part in complexation. An increase in temperature facilitated the dissolution rate with an activation energy of 31.0 ± 2.8 kJ/mol. The cyclic voltammetry studies indicated potential chances of recovery of the dissolved uranium by electrodeposition at the cathode. The proposed dimeric structure of HD2EHP in the complexation with U(VI) was supported by DFT studies also.In the present work, we proposed regulating uranyl coordination behavior of cucurbituril-bipyridinium pseudorotaxane ligand by utilizing meta-functionalized bipyridinium dicarboxylate guest. A tailored pseudorotaxane precursor involving 1,1′-(hexane-1,6-diyl)bis(3-cyanopyridin-1-ium) bromide (C6BPCN3) and cucurbit[6]uril (CB[6]) has designed and synthesized. Through in situ hydrolysis of the pseudorotaxane ligands and their coordination assembly with uranyl cations, seven new uranyl-rotaxane coordination polymers URCP1-URCP7 have been obtained under hydrothermal conditions in the presence of different anions. It is demonstrated that the variation of carboxylate groups from para- to meta-position greatly affected the coordination behaviors of the meta-functionalized pseudorotaxane linkers, which are enriched from simple guest-only binding to host-guest simultaneous coordination and synergistic chelating. This effective regulation on uranyl coordination of supramolecular pseudorotaxane can be attributed to the proximity effect, which refers to the meta-position carboxyl group being spatially closer to the portal carbonyl group of CB[6].
