To provide guidance to rheumatology providers on the management of adult rheumatic disease in the context of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
A task force, including 10 rheumatologists and 4 infectious disease specialists from North America, was convened. Clinical questions were collated, and an evidence report was rapidly generated and disseminated. Questions and drafted statements were reviewed and assessed using a modified Delphi process. This included asynchronous anonymous voting by e-mail and webinars with the entire panel. Task force members voted on agreement with draft statements using a 1-9-point numerical scoring system, and consensus was determined to be low, moderate, or high based on the dispersion of votes. For approval, median votes were required to meet predefined levels of agreement (median values of 7-9, 4-6, and 1-3 defined as agreement, uncertainty, or disagreement, respectively) with either moderate or high levels of consensus.
To date, the task force has approved 80 guidance statements 36 with moderate and 44 with high consensus. These were combined, resulting in 27 final guidance statements.

Both full-length AR and truncated AR-Vs require a functional N-terminal domain (NTD) for transcriptional activity thereby providing rationale for the development of ralaniten (EPI-002) as a first-in-class antagonist of the AR-NTD. Here, we evaluated the antitumor effect of a next-generation analog of ralaniten (EPI-7170) as a monotherapy or in combination with enzalutamide in prostate cancer cells that express AR-V7 that were resistant to enzalutamide. EPI-7170 had 8-9 times improved potency compared to ralaniten. Enzalutamide increased levels of AR-V7 and expression of its target genes. However, the controllable synthesis of porous carbon with refined morphology is still a formidable challenge due to inevitable aggregation/fusion of resulted carbon particles during the high-temperature synthetic process. Herein, a hierarchically oriented carbon-structured (fiber-like) composite is fabricated by simultaneously taking advantage of a confined pyrolysis strategy and disparate bond environments within metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). In the resultant composite, the oriented carbon provides a fast mass (molecule/ion/electron) transfer efficiency; the doping-N atoms can anchor or act as active sites; the mesoporous SiO2 (mSiO2 ) shell not only effectively prevents the derived carbon or active metal nanoparticles (NPs) from aggregation or leaching, but also acts as a “polysulfide reservoir” in the Li-S batteries to suppress the “shuttle” effect. Benefiting from these advantages, the synthesized composite Pd@NDHPC@mSiO2 (NDHPC means N-doped hierarchically porous carbon) exhibits extremely high catalytic activity and stability toward the one-pot Knoevenagel condensation-hydrogenation reaction. Furthermore, the oriented NDHPC@mSiO2 manifests a boosted capacity and cycling stability in Li-S batteries compared to the counterpart that directly pyrolyzes without silica protection. Intradialytic hypotension (IDH) is one of the most common complications associated with haemodialysis (HD), yet the frequency of patient assessment by nurses varies in practice. We sought to measure the frequency of nursing assessments before, during and after HD and to identify any predictors of IDH.
To audit the frequency, nursing management and contributing factors of IDH.
A prospective clinical audit was undertaken over 4 weeks.
Nurses completed audit sheets on 132 patients at three chronic HD units.
The audit tool consisted of 34 questions related to demographics, HD prescription, frequency of monitoring and nursing interventions.
A total of 1584 sessions were performed with 876 (55.3%) audits returned, of which 452 were useable. There were 74 actual episodes of IDH, and a further 72 potential episodes may have been prevented due to nursing intervention. Most nurses reported assessing patients before starting HD and as required before an actual or potential IDH event (nā=ā85; 63%); few hourly assessments were performed.
