We herein report a rare presentation of leiomyoma of radial nerve which presented with wrist drop. Patient concerns A 37-year-old man visited our clinic with a history of sudden onset weakness of the wrist dorsiflexion/finger extension of the right side. Diagnosis T2-weighted with fat saturation image of MRI demonstrated a well-defined, intra-neural, round mass of about 0.8 cm × 0.5 cm within the radial nerve. Excision of mass established the pathological diagnosis of intra-neural leiomyoma. Interventions The patient underwent excision of mass and attached nerve tissue, followed his medial antebrachial nerve graft for repair of the defected radial nerve. Outcomes As of the 1-year follow-up, no symptoms of recurrence have been observed. Also, the strength of wrist dorsiflexion improved to grade 4/5 CONCLUSION This rare case demonstrates the importance of MR imaging to differentiate intra-neural leiomyomas from other benign peripheral nerve sheath tumors. Surgical treatment plays an important role in the treatment of patient with intraneural leiomyoma with neurologic deficits.The risk of colorectal cancer associated to antidepressant use remains unclear. The purpose of this meta-analysis was to investigate the risk of colorectal cancer associated to antidepressant use.Medline, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Database were accessed from the dates of their establishment to October 2018, to collect study of antidepressant use and colorectal cancer morbidity and mortality. Then a meta-analysis was conducted using Stata 12.0 software.A total of 11 publications involving 109,506 participants were included. The meta-analysis showed that antidepressant use was not associated with colorectal cancer morbidity (relevant risk (RR) 0.97; 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.94-1.01) and mortality (RR 1.08; 95% CI 0.99-1.17). Subgroup analysis showed selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (RR 0.99; 95% CI 0.96-1.03) or serotonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (RR 1.04; 95% CI 0.86-1.26) were not associated with colorectal cancer risk; however, TCA was associated with colorectal cancer risk decrement (RR 0.92; 95% CI 0.87-0.98). see more Furthermore, the results also showed that antidepressant use was not associated with colorectal cancer risk in Europe and North America (RR 0.97; 95% CI 0.92-1.02) and Asia (RR 1.00; 95% CI 0.95-1.26). Methods The following databases will be searched MEDLINE, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Chinese Nation Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Database, the Chongqing VIP from inception to May 1, 2020. All randomized controlled trials (RCTs) used acupuncture or moxibustion to relieve pain and improve quality of life (QoL) among KOA patients will be included. Study selection, data extraction, quality assessment and assessment of risk bias will be performed by 2 reviewers independently. Data synthesis will be performed using Review Manager V5.3 software. A meta-analysis will be performed when there is sufficient available data. However, there have been no reported cases of pulmonary lobectomy with Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-COV-2) infection. We are the first to report such a case. Patient concerns We report a 63-year-old Wuhan male patient with smoking history of 40 cigarettes per day for 40 years. He sought medical consultation for right lower lung nodules found by CT scan. Diagnoses and interventions The patient’s postoperative pathological diagnosis was squamous cell carcinoma of the right lower lung. On the fourth day after the operation, the real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction test showed a positive result. After the operation, we routinely give symptomatic treatments such as anti-infection, nebulization and oxygen inhalation. We also change antibiotics several times depending on the patient’s condition. Outcomes The patient’s condition continued to deteriorate. On the fifth day after surgery, the patient died despite medical treatment. Lessons We are the first to report the diagnosis and treatment process of patients with COVID-19 during perioperative period of lobectomy. There is no specific cure for this disease, and the clinical management mainly depends on supportive treatment. Traditional Chinese medicines (CHM) is widely used in treating COVID-19 in China. Methods A comprehensive literature search will be conducted. Two methodological trained researchers will read the title, abstract, and full texts and independently select the qualified literature according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. After assessment of the risk of bias and data extraction, we will conduct meta-analyses for outcomes related to COVID-19. The heterogeneity of data will be investigated by Cochrane χ and I tests. Then publication bias assessment will be conducted by funnel plot analysis and Egger test. Results The results of our research will be published in a peer-reviewed journal. Conclusion Our study aims to systematically present the clinical evidence of CHM in the treatment of COVID-19, which will be of guiding significance for further research and clinical practice.
