Statistical analysis showed significant differences (p<0.05) in the effective half-life among patients treated with 1.11GBq, 3.7GBq and 5.55GBq. A high positive correlation (ρ>0.95) was found between the time-integrated activity and the remnant activity at 2d for the three groups of patients.

Individuals with low socioeconomic status have higher rates of depression, but it is unknown whether the socioeconomically disadvantaged also have more disabling depressive symptoms. We examined (1) the associations of three indicators of socioeconomic status with depression-related severe role impairment, and (2) whether socioeconomic factors moderate the association between individual depression symptoms and depression-related severe role impairment.
We used data from the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH). Depressive symptoms, role impairment and socioeconomic indicators (poverty, participation in workforce, educational attainment) were self-reported by participants. The analytic sample consisted of participants who screened positive for a depressive episode during past 12 months (n=32661). We used survey-weighted logistic models to examine the associations of depressive symptoms with severe role impairment and the modifying effects of socioeconomic indicators.

A better understanding of the brain substrates will likely help determine targets to treat patients. Hence, the aim of this study was two-fold, that is to examine surface-based morphometry in 17 patients with gambling disorder as compared to norms of healthy individuals (2713 and 2790 subjects for cortical and subcortical anatomical scans, respectively) and to assess the clinical relevance of morphometry in patients with Gambling Disorder. This study measured brain volume, surface and thickness in Gambling Disorder. We compared these measures to those of a normative database that controlled for factors such as age and sex. We also tested for correlations with gambling-related behaviors, such as gambling severity and duration, impulsivity, and depressive symptoms (assessed using the South Oaks Gambling Screen, years of gambling, Barratt Impulsiveness Scale, and Beck Depression Inventory, respectively). Patients displayed thinner prefrontal and parietal cortices, greater volume and thickness of the occipital and the entorhinal cortices, and greater volume of subcortical regions as compared to the norms of healthy individuals. There were positive correlations between surface area of occipital regions and depressive symptoms. This work contributes to better characterize the brain substrates of Gambling Disorder, which appear to resemble those of substance use disorders and Internet Gaming Disorder.While several electroencephalogram (EEG)-based biomarkers have been proposed as diagnostic or predictive tools in major depressive disorder (MDD), there is a clear lack of replication studies in this field. Markers that link clinical features such as disturbed wakefulness regulation in MDD with neurophysiological patterns are particularly promising candidates for e.g., EEG-informed choices of antidepressive treatment. We investigate if we in an independent MDD sample can replicate abnormal findings of EEG-vigilance regulation during rest and as a predictor for antidepressive treatment response. EEG-resting state was recorded in 91 patients and 35 healthy controls from the NeuroPharm trial. EEG-vigilance was assessed using the Vigilance Algorithm Leipzig (VIGALL). We compared the vigilance regulation during rest between patients and healthy controls and between remitters/responders and non-remitters/non-responders after eight weeks of SSRI/SNRI treatment using two different sets of response criteria (NeuroPharm and iSPOT-D). We replicated previous findings showing hyperstable EEG-wakefulness regulation in patients in comparison to healthy subjects. Responders defined by the iSPOT-D criteria showed a higher propensity toward low vigilance stages in comparison to patients with no response at pretreatment, however, this did not apply when using the NeuroPharm criteria. EEG-wakefulness regulation patterns normalized toward patterns of healthy controls after 8 weeks of treatment. This replication study supports the diagnostic value of EEG-vigilance regulation and its usefulness as a biomarker for the choice of treatment in MDD.
